To kick off our “Meet the Team” series, we had a chat with our Surveys Manager, Ruby Pickering, to gain some insight into her role and daily responsibilities.
What is your role at Optimus?
Surveys Manager!
What does a normal day at work look like for you?
A typical day involves supporting the service team with their queries and escalations. I collaborate with our Panel Leader to bring new firms on board and spend time researching potential partners. Additionally, I process any queries within the surveys department.
What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about surveys?
I wish everyone knew that surveyors always have the client’s best interests at heart. If a surveyor advises that a higher level of survey is needed, it’s because it genuinely is what’s best for the client, providing them with the most comprehensive information about the property.
What’s your favourite way to start your day?
I love starting my day with a nice hot latte!
